Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon x Tamara Ralph
Renowned fashion designer Tamara Ralph has collaborated with Audemars Piguet to create a captivating interpretation of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon. Unveiled during her recent Spring/Summer 2024 runway show in Paris, Ralph's design showcases a warm palette of bronze, gold, and brown, accentuated by contrasting textures and voluminous elements. The chosen model, the 38.5mm Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon, originally crafted for women, features a frosted gold case achieved through the Florentine technique introduced by Italian jeweler Carolina Bucci. The hammered finishing on the iconic eight-sided bezel and hexagonal case surfaces adds a discreet sparkle, complemented by polished slopes and satin-brushed flanks. The dial, inspired by the tourbillon cage, exhibits concentric rings in graduated colors, enhancing the sensation of depth. The caseback reveals Audemars Piguet's manual-winding calibre 2964, adorned with circular motifs emanating from the flying tourbillon cage. Limited to 102 pieces, this watch is adorned with a bronze-toned alligator strap and a pink gold AP folding clasp, with an estimated price of CHF 170,000 or higher.
