Ressence Type 1 DX3 celebrates Girih, the Arab Geometric Art

Ressence collaborates with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons for six years, unveiling the Type 1 DX3 watch, a homage to Arabic art. Integrating mosaic patterns and cloisonné art, this limited edition continues their partnership trilogy, succeeding the Type 1DXB and Type 1 Slim DX2, commemorating the UAE’s 50th anniversary.

The DX3, an evolution of the Type 1 Round, features a 42.7mm titanium case weighing just 64 grams, devoid of a crown, replaced by a retractable lever for adjustments. Its convex German silver dial, coated in rose gold, showcases a desert-colored design inspired by Arab Geometric Art, luminous in the dark. The Ressence Orbital Convex System powers the dynamic sub-dials, driven by a customized 2892 base calibre.

Limited to 35 pieces, the watch adorns a beige rubber strap with an ardillon buckle. The Dubai Watch Week, from November 16th to 20th, 2023, features this masterpiece alongside Ressence’s book, "Arts & Crafts in Motion," delving into the fusion of Arab Geometric Art and Horological Decorative Art within the DX trilogy.
