Hublot Big Bang Unico x Nespresso Origin, Crossover, Environmental-Friendly Recycled Materials

Hublot and Nespresso have collaborated to create a groundbreaking watch called the Hublot Big Bang Unico Nespresso Origin. This timepiece is the first of its kind to be made using recycled Nespresso aluminum capsules and coffee grounds, showcasing the values of innovation, excellence, and sustainability shared by both brands.



Nespresso has been involved in Second Life initiatives for the past seven years, partnering with renowned Swiss brands to repurpose used aluminum capsules. Hublot, known for its Art of Fusion and pushing boundaries in materials and design, has now incorporated these recycled materials into their iconic Big Bang watch. The aluminum capsules are transformed into the case, bezel, crown, and pusher, while the coffee grounds are used in the straps.



The 42-mm case of the Big Bang Unico Nespresso Origin is crafted from recycled aluminum, with 28% sourced from Nespresso coffee capsules. It is anodized in vibrant green, satin finished, and polished, ensuring durability. The bottom of the case and the container are made from recycled titanium. The rubber strap features a titanium deployant buckle with a recycled aluminum cap, while the fabric strap is made using 100% recycled polyester and 5% coffee grounds.



Hublot and Nespresso worked closely for a year to achieve the perfect harmony of colors and materials in the watch. Seven different materials, including anodized aluminum, varnish, rubber, and fabric, were carefully balanced to ensure uniformity and long-lasting color consistency.



The Big Bang Unico Nespresso Origin represents the value of adding value to recycled materials and promotes the concept of circularity. Additionally, it will be presented in the Hublot Greenbox case, a reusable and eco-friendly case made entirely from oak and featuring logos affixed using coffee grounds.
