Longines Master Small Seconds, Celebrate its 190th Anniversary
Longines has unveiled the new Longines Master Small Seconds, a more compact version of their elegant watch with an engraved dial. Last year, Longines celebrated its 190th anniversary with a trio of watches featuring stunning dials applied to the Master collection, which received great acclaim. Building on that success, Longines now introduces a smaller version with fresh colors and a different display.
The new Longines Master Small Seconds comes in a 38.5mm polished steel case, exuding a classic and discreet charm. The highlight remains the dial, boasting textured and engraved Breguet-style numerals filled in black, complemented by leaf-shaped hands. The addition of a small seconds sub-dial with a vintage-inspired railroad minute track enhances its appeal. A notable new feature is the attractive salmon color, and an anthracite edition with gold-colored numerals and hands is also available.
Under the hood, the watch houses the calibre L893.5, based on the ETA A31.501 but improved with a 72-hour power reserve and an antimagnetic silicon hairspring. The movement can be admired through the sapphire case back.
With a price tag of HK$ 19,900, the Longines Master Small Seconds offers excellent value for money and attention to detail, showcasing Longines' prowess in reviving classic designs with a contemporary twist.
