Piaget's Altiplano Ultimate Concept, secured its place in horological history as the world's thinnest watch, with a remarkable 2mm profile. Though subsequent brands have created even thinner timepieces, the Altiplano Ultimate Concept retains its status as a groundbreaking achievement. To mark Watches and Wonders Shanghai 2023, Piaget introduces a striking Midnight Blue Edition, a callback to a previous unique piece.

This exceptional watch's ultrathin design was made possible through a revolutionary reimagining of watch architecture, seamlessly integrating the case, movement, and bezel into a single 2mm-thick unit. Crafted from a durable cobalt alloy to ensure structural integrity, its development resulted in five patents. In 2020, it earned the prestigious 'Aiguille d'Or' prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. This achievement builds upon Piaget's 65-year legacy of refining ultra-thin movements, tracing back to Valentin Piaget's introduction of the 2mm-high calibre 9P in 1957.

The Piaget Altiplano Ultimate Concept Midnight Blue Edition retains the innovative cobalt alloy case, now coated in a captivating midnight blue finish. This theme continues beneath the 0.2mm sapphire crystal, with a dark blue matte main plate, sun-brushed dial, and upper bridge. Technical components like the openworked barrel, balance, escapement, and gear train remain silver-toned, creating a striking contrast.
