Ulysse Nardin Blast Free Wheel Marquetry
During this year's Geneva Watch Days, Ulysse Nardin introduced the innovative Blast Free Wheel Marquetry timepiece, showcasing the artistic possibilities of silicon. This watch draws inspiration from the Executive Free Wheel Tourbillon with its mesmerizing display of movement components. It features floating elements, including a flying tourbillon, poised gear train, and a power reserve indicator, all housed in a 45mm white gold Blast case without a conventional bezel for a captivating visual experience.
The watch's ergonomic design ensures comfortable wear, and a glass box integrated into the case structure offers a clear view of the UN-176 Manufacture calibre that powers it. The dial boasts 103 luminous blue silicium marquetry inlays arranged meticulously, creating a stunning mosaic-like motif. This artistic composition blends matte and mirror-polished surfaces with varying thicknesses, resulting in a dynamic interplay of reflections and contrasts, giving the timepiece a radiant three-dimensional presence.
The Ulysse Nardin Blast Free Wheel Marquetry comes with a velvet effect waterproof rubber strap or a blue alligator leather strap, compatible with other Blast Tourbillon straps, secured with a white gold deployant buckle.
